UKDD is back!!! – PRESS RELEASE 07.07.21

“We are delighted to announce “We’re Back” and UK Dairy Day will go ahead in September with additional Covid safety measures in place following the latest Government announcement. The UK Dairy Day team are doing everything they can to stage the event responsibly with additional measures in place to ensure visitors, staff and exhibitors feel safe at the event.

Please find attached the Cattle Schedule, Showing Rules and Stall Booking Form for UK Dairy Day 2021 taking place on Wednesday 15th September that has been emailed out this morning to all previous cattle exhibitors of UKDD. Would you also please share the schedule and booking form on your website, social media channels and any membership newsletters/communication you have scheduled. Stall booking forms can be returned to the cattle office either by post or by email to cattleoffice@ukdairyday.co.uk by Friday 5th August.

Please also publicise to any potential exhibitors that as in 2019 All exhibitors are required to ensure that every animal entered is BVD Free. They either need to reside in a herd accredited free of BVD by a CHECS approved cattle health scheme or, at any time in its life, have been tested individually on a blood, milk, or tissue sample for evidence of the BVD virus, with a negative result.

It would be wise to book your accommodation as early as possible as hotel rooms usually become limited. For a list of hotels go to www.ukdairyday.co.uk/visit/accommodation/  If you quote ‘Cattle Rooms 2021’ to The International Hotel, they will offer their discounted rate.

I am delighted to confirm that NWF Agriculture has once again kindly agreed to sponsor the cattle infrastructure and breakfast rolls for cattle exhibitors.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Lizzie Yates on 07801 568 534.”
