Full membership of the Society costs £30 plus VAT per year. The Society year runs from 1st February - 31st January. Junior members under the age of 21 are eligible for free membership of the Society . All members will receive the quarterly journal, "The Swiss Chimes." This publication aims to deliver useful information for anyone interested in Brown Swiss cattle. The Society encourages members to pay their annual subscription by Standing Order. In doing so, this helps us to reduce our costs and thus keep the membership fees low. If you wish to register a herd prefix this costs £20 plus VAT. This is a one off payment. A Herd Prefix is a unique name for your herd. If you already have a pedigree herd of another breed, it is possible that you can carry the same prefix to register your Brown Swiss cattle in our Herdbook. In order to register cattle you must have both a full membership of the Society and a registered Herd Prefix. Finally, the Brown Swiss Cattle Society is a registered Charity and as such, we can claim Gift Aid on your subscription from the Inland Revenue. The Brown Swiss Cattle Society is almost entirely funded by subscriptions from members therefore any additional contributions such as this are very much appreciated and valued by the Society. If you would like to join the Society please download the following forms or contact us for a membership pack.
